THE IMAGE

This image came almost out of nowhere. I was driving around the Gorge with my friend, Thisara. We were trying to explore the Gorge but it was just down pouring. Right as we decided to pack up and go home the rain stopped abruptly. We quickly pulled over at Crown Point as the sky lit up with the sun starting to come through the clouds. I quickly placed my tripod on the wet stone and composed my shot. I chose this composition with the distinct layers. The cascade is trapped between an energetic sky and the reflections below. Looking closely at the image are microscopic homes hiding behind trees and rising clouds.
